Fable Kinect will be 'accessible , not e

Lionhead's upcoming Kinect exclusive Fable: The Journey will be easy enough to pick up and play, but Fable 2 veterans can expect a challenge further in, studio boss Peter Molyneux has revealed. "It has to be accessible - you want people to instantly understand how to control the horse, and do magic. But what we mean by challenging, there are going to be occasions where you have to think hard about how to use your magic to get past a barrier," he told OXM in an interview. "The great thing about having a system that's open-ended is that you'll feel, more and more, that it's you that's solved a problem, and not a button-press or working out a code The difficulty we're looking at is around the Fable 2 level, between one and two. Easy at the start, and a lot more challenging."The rest of the OXM chat covers why hardcore gamers haven't embraced Kinect - take a look. Issue 76 of OXM, out today, carries a full two-page preview.Last month, Molyneux told us that he "agreed" with core Kinect scepticism of current Kinect offerings, commenting "any invention as big as Kinect just takes a while for us to get our teeth into".
