Renegade Ops Review -- This Game's Gone R

Players control a variety of vehicles and unleash a variety of weapons in this uninspired shooter."The story is so bare bones it's hardly worth mentioning. An unknown superpower named Inferno has suddenly sprung up with aspirations of world domination, so it's up to a rag-tag crew of renegades to put a stop to it. The script doesn't take itself seriously, but it's rarely tongue-in-cheek enough to be entertaining either."Head over to read the rest of our Renegade Ops review.

Starcraft 2 Journey to Diamond League Wk4

 。

I finally got the chance to play a long and epic macro game. As I had mentioned during previous weeks, longer macro games seldom happen at the lower level because my opponents tend to try and end games quickly. During this game I had the honor to attack first. My army consisting of roaches, banelings and Zerglings were broken by a grand formation of marines and tanks.。

By Mohammad Abubakr, OnRPG Journalist。

Final Rank: Bronze - 7。

 。

Initial Rank: Bronze - 8。

 。

I'm back for another week of Starcraft 2 goodness and ready to make a recovery after my miserable showing in week 3 of my Journey to the Diamond League. If you missed my last update, you can check it out HERE. I studied up all the pros' videos over the weekend and went into each match this week with tactics, map awareness, and build orders ready to go.。

 。

Games played: 19。

 。

 。

Due to the season 2 lock, no real progress will be seen until the beginning of Season 3. Instead of gaining ranks as intended, I dropped from rank 5 to rank 8 and have just barely returned to rank 7 today. Overall I would say that playing very late at night has gotten the better of me the last 2 weeks. The sleepier you get, the slower your reaction time.。

 。

 。

 。

If there are any suggestions or feedback about this series, please let me know on the OnRPG forums  (http://www.onrpg.com/boards/) @ Abubakr (http://www.onrpg.com/boards/member-abubakr.html). Alternatively you may message me in Starcraft II (Abubakr, 109).。

The following game against a Protoss has to be the strangest game I have ever played. At the beginning of the game he continued to attack with Zealots. I held off the attacks and continued to drone because I thought I was in the lead. However, the Protoss player set up cannons to take out destructible metal very early on and setup a hidden base. Since my opponent was only sending Zealots my way and did not even use warp gate technology, I did not suspect anything when I saw no expansion as I thought it was a new player. Underestimating my opponent cost me the game because he had three undetected star ports at his hidden base while I had no anti air. After destroying his main, I finally realized about his hidden expansion because he was smart to not reveal his air units. There were too many cannons and void rays for me to finish him off. I was forced to concede. While he did have an interesting strategy, if I had scouted his expansion earlier it would have been an easy victory. I cannot believe I lost to that!。

 。

 。

Win/Loss: 13 / 6。

 。

My first game this week went great. I was up against a Terran player that refused to expand. The only time he expanded his base was when his main base ran out of resources. I knew he would eventually have to expand so I waited it out and denied every attempt at expansion! He was never able to successfully expand and slowly ran out of money. It did take some time because I only had ground units so his banshees got annoying. However, after my Hydralisks Den was complete the game was over. Let us just hope the rest of the week goes well; I need to make up for last week.。

 。

 。

My next opponent was a Zerg who was trying out the Day[9] Funday Monday. Day[9] is a very popular Starcraft caster and has his own show. Each Monday he sets special limitations for players and players try to play with those limitations. The best matches are commented on his show. This week the limitation was that Zerg could only attack on creep. Knowing this I continued to expand and gain an economic lead since I knew he could not attack me. I had a huge lead in income with a gold base and ended up winning the game.。

However losses were heavy on both sides. I continued to expand my bases and produce workers while denying my opponent from getting a third expansion. I had a huge economic lead as the game progressed because his bases were beginning to dry up on minerals. Near the end game my army consisted of roaches, banelings and infestors while he had marines, thors and tanks. I split my army’s focus so that the roaches killed the tanks, banelings killed the marines and infestors mind controlled the thors. My army was too strong for my opponent and he was forced to concede. I love Neural Parasite.。

Although I had a positive win to loss ratio, I did not achieve my goal of rank 4. I was busy throughout the whole week and had little time to play before I went to sleep. At the end of the week I was just one to three wins away from achieving rank 5 because ranks 5 to 8 were very close in points.。

Prius Online I Choose You!

By Vincent Haoson, OnRPG Journalist Prius Online is a 3D fantasy MMORPG from CJ E&M. The game circles around your character, the only remaining survivor of a team of racially diverse soldiers who were annihilated. You have lost your memory and through that you start off (once again) in your adventure to regain your memories and return to your "pre-amnesia" state of greatness.Starting off in Prius Online is a pretty surprising (and welcome) change in terms of MMORPGs. The game tries hard to establish your origins story where it is explained what happened to you prior to your Amnesia. The game tends to really ham it up which seems to be the game's bread and butter (more on that later) aside from being visually attractive since the game seems to borrow heavily from the anime art style.Prius Online has your typical array of classes; you have the ranged attackers in the guise of the Hume female gunslingers and for the male Humes the occultist class. The Lon Race on the other hand has the berserkers for the male and the huntresses for the female. The third race in Prius is the Ayin which is separated to the Legionnaire for the male and the Shadow Templar for the Female. Finally, you have the Beriah race which has the support class, the Minstrel. The game has the usual bells and whistles you'd find in a lot of MMORPGs these days. Prius has the title system which basically works as both a source of awkward character name extensions and very useful character buffs. The game's character growth is anchored heavily on the job class you choose. While the base stats growth is determined by your chosen race/job class, customization in the form of skill allotment allows you to differentiate yourself from your peers. The game also has the automated player check-up system in place where you have to key in the proper image to check if you are a human "player". Failure to click said image will force the game to transport your character to the nearest town.Prius also has a mount system where you can acquire cute bunny-like creatures or dark horse-like ones as your trusty steed. The Cerelo system is also a handy way of travelling long distances without the tedium of having to control a mount yourself. The game also has a Coliseum and PK system in place which follows the usual system in most MMORPGs. Most PvP happens within the "coliseum" which is viewed by the community as the honorable source of combat amongst players. Those seeking to grief instead of obtain glory will be glad to know the freedom to PK the living daylights out of other players also exists. Of course, to counter balance the abusive players, the game has the bounty system in place so that players can "report" abusive PKers so that other players can have a go at them for rewards.Prius also has the guild system set, however it's not yet active as of my review.Prius Online’s defining feature is its 3C game system which comes from the concept of controlling three characters. Aside from your main unit, you also have an "escorts" in the form of a small girl called Anima. The Anima can dish out spells against the monster you are targeting or support you. You have complete control on the type of Anima you are controlling which is then dependent on your preferred playstyle. On rare occasions you will also be able to gain control of a Gigas. These Gigas are robot-like creatures under the control of Animas (based on the game lore), that deal out massive damage to enemies for a short amount of time since controlling a Giga is limited. The Animas tend to be more like a little kid that tags along on your journey. I think the best parallelism I can think of between the Animas and you to other games would be Pikachu in Pokemon Yellow. There will be times that you need to actually talk with your Anima and in-between fights there will be pop-ups that allow you to interact and grow your relationship together.Although the gameplay itself and elements of Prius Online are solid, the story telling really let me down. I mean the elements are already there including beautiful graphics and a gigantic rich world to explore. Prius just needs to take what it has and clean it up a little better. I know I shouldn't really bank on the story telling attempts of MMORPGs in general, but there are a few key points I would love to see the developers iron out. The animations need a bit of work to make me really feel attached to the characters. The out-of-sync voice acting also was a barrier that kept me from feeling the same attachment I felt towards Pikachu in Pokemon Yellow. I guess this might not be a huge issue to most MMO players but as a writer it nagged at me constantly. All in all I can say that Prius has a lot of potential as an MMO. It looks good, plays great and even the community is decent enough that the usual headache I get from communicating in world chat never surfaced. However the game tries hard in presenting a dramatic story theme and doesn’t quite get it right. For a more indepth look at the game features, be sure to check out ColbyCheeze's video impressions.Graphics - 4/5 Controls - 5/5 Features - 4/5 Customization - 3/5 Community - 3/5

New Gears of War 3 trailer marks the end

A new Gears of War 3 trailer has hit the net. Despite all of its classic Locust killing (and there's a fair bit) the trailer manages to strike an emotional chord thanks to some gentle, mournful background music and fading text. It's all part of the more personal, emotional angle Epic's using to round off the trilogy. Read our latest Gears of War 3 preview to find out more. Not before you've had a look at the trailer, of course: Watch in HD No comments yet, be the first! Tom Pakinkis

Dogs of the Seas Arrh me mateys!

Dogs of the Seas may not be the most authentic Pirate game out there but it sure has made a decent version of this timeless game theme concept. If you want some instant pirate fun this game is a must try.。Battling with other players is fun and challenging at the same time. Unlike most it's either the stats of actual skills that matter in having successful ship battles in Dogs of the Seas it's a mix of both. Your characters skills and your skill as a captain goes hand in hand if you ever want to win in this game. The game has quite a selection when it comes to your ship's ammunition thus providing you more than just cannonballs as a means to take down your enemies. This gives the game a more tactical feel that further makes you want to play the game more.。Cons:
- Due to the images, the game takes longer to load
- There's a tendency that some images won't show up and you would need to disable the image pack to play normally
- You'd have to tweak the interface because it looks cluttered.。
Pros:
- You get to see your ship in action
- The game has a tutorial that eases your first time experience to the game
- The game is interactive friendly and that you would find it easy to find friends, alliances or people who can help you out if your in a pinch.。Dogs of the seas is one of those games tries its best to put you in the seat of one or the world's most decorated outlaws, a pirate. However, I do think that the game does in fact fail in that regard especially if you are one of those kinds of players who like their pirate games as authentic as possible.。Dogs of the Seas: Pirates at War is a browser-based MMO that puts you in the helm of your own pirate ship. You begin as an unknown pirate trying his luck in the brutal seas. You own a portion of land which you call home and through there you start of your swashbuckling adventures.。As you begin you have the basic weapons any old school ship has. You use the space button to attack. You have to make sure that the enemies ships are on the side of your ship to make sure you would hit. Aside from that the game also allows you to allocate skill points on certain stats your pirate has. This is not just a skills game but also a stats game as well.。The game gives enough leeway for newbies to take time and understand how things work. Plus add the fact that the global chat is easily accessible you can immediately ask anyone who's online for any help, just as long as you are lucky enough to have helpful people online.。

Another thing about the game is that it also provides an alternative for you because of the missions the agents give you. This added goal of accomplishing something is not just rewarding but also an encouragement to play the game more.。Aside from the resource structures you have in your bay, another form of income earning in Dogs of the Seas is through the Agent who is found in your main building. The agent serves as the quest-giving NPCs of Dogs of the Seas which rewards you handsomely for every successful run.。In any pirate themed game it is already understood that ships come into the whole mix. In Dogs of the Sea you have power over how your ship sails. The controls are pretty basic and understandable that is why battling in the game is fun and a breeze. Sometimes though lag happens which makes affects how the game goes.。There are three kinds of missions your agent gives you. These are the Missions and smugglerun, Smuggler's hunt and Treasure hunt. Each type of mission has a specific goal which you would need to accomplish and that you would need to return to your agent for it to be considered as finished.。Thankfully this little details isn't really that much important because the gameplay does in fact engage you to keep on playing after signing up. The game's sign up process is unbelievably fast it's as if with just a snap of your fingers your instantly whisked away to your land and starting off as a pirate ins search of adventure.

。Being an outlaw and all, pirates are not expected to have much property more so a bay of their own, or at least at the beginning of their pirating. So it would be a surprise for them so see their pirate owning something as big as a bay.。Each resource building in your Bay provides a certain amount of resource for that structure. Unlike most browser-based MMOs where the resources you receive are time locked, in Dogs of the Seas, you have to click on the production button found in the building and would have to click on produce. Also, the other thing that's different in the resources of Dogs of the Seas is that resources would need to use food because you would have to feed the people working on the resource.

。You can easily understand what you need to do because the game is image friendly and most of the things you see are in simple terms that anyone would understand. However it is still advisable that you should read the tutorials to at least know what you should be doing. However it is not really that problematic if you decide to become an adventurer and try out the game on your pace.。What would a pirate game be if it has no ships? Dogs of the Seas has one of the most interesting ship system included. As you set out from your bay you start of in your travels. You get to control and steer your ship as you go through the seas.。With these things already sat out, the game has problems too. One of the most obvious is the game's imagery. There are times when the game's graphics doesn't synchronize well with the game that you see dark patches as you set out. Furthermore, with the game's display pack included the game unknowingly logs you off whenever it tries to load.  The game's visuals is the game's Achilles heel if you look at it holistically.。 By Vincent Haoson (Vincenthaoson), OnRPG Journalist。Yep you read it right, you start off in Dogs of the Seas with a Bay that belongs to you. It's through this bay that you would get majority of the resources you would use in your stay in Dogs of the Seas. Among the 14 resource buildings you can get you are only allowed to build ten with the exception of your starting buildings which are the farm, dock and main building.。You use the keyboard to navigate and shoot your cannons while clicking your mouse serves to choose your enemy. You would see how your ship is sailing in real-time and as you go you would meet other ships along the way, this is where the game starts to be nitty-gritty.

Rare GoldenEye duo make millions

Two former Rare developers who helped create GoldenEye and Perfect Dark are set to scoop over £11 million each from selling a stake in their own business. Russell Irwin and Beau Cheslukho founded online advertising company Telemetry after leaving the UK developer three years agoTelemetry records data on the number of people who click through after watching online ads. Irwin and Chesluk, alongside co-founder Anthony Rushton, are in talks to sell a 20.4% stake in the start-up Telemetry. If the deal goes through, they will scoop £11.4 million a piece. And, presumably, dance like loons - perhaps even in front of Kinect Sports.Buyers interested in the stake are said to include Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse. If Telemetry is sold for the target price, it will value the three-year-old company at £175m. Mr Rushton confirmed that the company was in talks to sell the stake but refused to identify bidders. Several London venture capitalists are thought to be interested in buying into the company. Deloitte has been brought in to ready the company for sale. They predict the company will be worth $786m (£486m) by 2014.Mr Rushton said the sale would be used to gauge the interest of institutional investors ahead of a London flotation by 2015: "We are growing rapidly and need to sell equity in the business in order to become a $1bn online video company before we float in a few years." Last year's adjusted profits were £5m on sales of £24m, the firm said. The company recently signed a three-year deal to deliver and monitor ads for Reckitt Benckiser, maker of Cillit Bang, Dettol and Strepsils. It has also signed a deal with Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world's largest brewer and home to Stella Artois, Beck's and Budweiser. Tim Ingham

Eden Eternal Polished, Pretty, and Pricel

By Remko Molenaar (Proxzor), OnRPG Journalist Eden Eternal is a completely free to play anime styled MMOPRG developed by X-legend and published by Aeria Games. This is a social game with a persistent world, encouraging you to team up with other players to achieve your goals and have fun! When you start up Eden Eternal you can select multiple servers with a lot of different channels to choose from. This makes the servers not too full and alleviates the issues of massive KS wars in the starter zones. When you have selected the server you want to play on it is time to create your character. Now the character customization is very basic but does its job, the features you can customize about your character are race, gender, face, hair, hair color, skin and eyes. The races in Eden Eternal at the time this review was written were the Human and the Zumi, although the Anuran has since been released. The Zumi is a class that looks like a mice and might be one of the most unique looking races I have seen in a game. The Anuran look like lanky toad people and have a feel of warrior pride to them. When you have created your character it is time to get into the new continent in the world of Eden Eternal. Since I have a really good computer I decided to play this game on maximum settings with everything turned on. Now this was a big mistake, usually I am a big fan of a little blur in the game. In Eden Eternal however this is not a wise choice, as the blur effect put a major strain on my eyes overtime. When I got into the world and got my first quest I was a little bit surprised, normally you get a really advanced tutorial. However in Eden Eternal I unfortunately didn’t get any tutorial so it was a bit of a learning process to figure out all the features hidden within this game.I must say the world map in this game is really well made and there is an auto walk option if you click on anywhere in the map. I decided to play as a magician as I usually do and I really liked the class, and even if I didn’t I was not bound to this class and could have changed to any of the five archetypes by about level 15. Each class is unlocked upon reaching certain achievements, with the basic class for each archetype being simple level requirements while more advanced classes put you through intense challenges. Now the story is pretty basic and simple but gives a lot of openings for other races and thus for more game content. Races from all over the world decided to abandon their homes and set sail to the horizon. Each race eventually arrived at untouched land in the center of the world. On this new continent all the races decided to live together and build their homes. After a while all the different races had their own vision of building a perfect Utopia. As you can guess they were too stubborn and tension rose as arguments turned into fights and a war started. Because of the conflict the land shattered and ripped the new world apart. The apocalypse was only prevented by a group of mysterious humans born from blue crystals who restored order and sealed the monsters away. However history seems to be repeating and it’s up to you to take up the role of a hero of your people to solve the mysteries of this impending doom and fulfill the role of the crystal people once again. The controls in Eden Eternal feel marvelous and might be one of the smoothest movements I have experienced in a MMORPG. You are able to move your character with the WASD keys or you can point to click your character. The skills are activated by pressing the hotkeys in the bottom of your user interface; these skills cannot be used when you click on them however so if you are a clicker you might have to learn to use your keyboard. The skills are really well made and the effects are beautiful with each unique spell you use. Concepts such as slash versus blunt damage and a triangle of power between elements add further strategic value to skill use. I never felt like I was just button smashing mindlessly to kill monsters in this game. One issue with movement though is this game has a fetish for invisible walls. Every object tends to have a much larger collision detection radius than the actual object leads you to believe. For example I saw a bench in the starting town, I went over to it to sit or jump on it I got blocked off by an invisible wall. This makes the game feel like a closed environment, and unfortunately I am a big supporter with an open world where you can basically jump on everything. Nonetheless this is just a minor setback of the game engine and the actual combat more than makes up for it.The dungeons are the real selling point of this game. The graphics might be chibi but the challenges are intense. When ColbyCheeze tried jumping straight into the game on DizzyPW’s tank, his party spent 5 hours wiping on a level 3x dungeon because he didn’t fully understand the intricacies of all his interrupt and agro management skills. I can attest that playing the game from level 1 up is vital in the learning process to make sure you are well prepared for the challenges and random monster ambushes awaiting in the end-game dungeons. DoubleDoor and his school of witchcraft and wizardry made me rage the whole way through but was so satisfying seeing that old man face down on the floor! The graphics in this game are really stunning and really advanced for a free to play game. To play this game you would need to have a Intel Pentium 4 processor or something equivalent, along with 1 gigabyte of ram and at least a Geforce nVidia GeForce FX 5200 or ATI Radeon 9600 video card. The recommend system requirements are a little higher than normal but should run on most modern machines. This game is a really good looking game with a well-polished and optimized engine. Hopefully other companies realize what Eden Eternal has accomplished and use it as a bar to aim for in the free to play anime-styled market. In Eden Eternal there are several ways to play PvP (Player versus Player). You are able to duel other players in the game to test your skills as a friendly match. Recently the Territory War has been announced, in the Territory War the system puts guilds in a free for all brawl. This will push the limits of teamwork, forcing players to work in a timely manner to either claim or defend the various territories. To win the Territory War you have to capture several places and monsters on the map. After you have done this you are able to destroy the Sand Crystal in the Sand Fortress. There are several different battlegrounds and you can find the dates and times these are available in your event schedule.Earlier I mentioned the well thought out skills and in PvP this really comes into play. Nearly every skill has a side effect beyond just pure damage and a relatively long cool-down compared to most MMO’s that give every class one spammable skill. This forces players to get creative, stun-lock enemies, use skills in specific orders, and save interrupts to block ultimates in clutch maneuvers. If you’re going in as a healing archetype or tank, expect a rough time because every skill you use is vital to your team’s success.Eden Eternal is a really fun game to play. The graphics are beautiful and the gameplay along with the controls feel really smooth. The game might feel a little grindy even though there are quite a few of quests to pick up. I really enjoyed playing this game and I will definitely play it more and see what the future brings. Eden Eternal feels like it is the top student in its class and has set a new bar in the anime-MMO genre. I would recommend everyone play this game because it takes a bunch of features that work in its genre, and perfects each of them to a whole new level of polish.

RaceWarkingdoms

RaceWarKingdoms is a text based game, play online with hundreds, (or) thousands of other people.
Graphics : The monster rmtgics are cool, but it is a text based game, so their isn’t much graphics to it. 4/10 (Only because it at as some graphics)
Sound I love the sound of my keyboard when typing and mouse clicking (No sound or music)
Players Looking for a good community, well, this isn’t the game for you. The players are rude , won’t go irmtnetails (Watch out from being scammed) 2/10
Gameplayll, it’s a *click click click click* game, it does get boring after awhile, not much to it, you can craft, although that costs a lot of gold to do, so its pretty much useless 4/10
Kingdoms This is my favorite part of the game, although not much strategy into it, you fight monster get gold, then you can buy better fortification or more armies for your kingdom (5/10)
Overall Great if youred, but not much to it, the players I find are rude (Don’t bother asking questions, you well be flamed) it isn’t anything special.
